How to handle a call through the UI

Let’s see how to manage a call through the VOIspeed UI.
The arrival of a new call, in addition to ringing the user’s devices, is signaled by the VOIspeed UI with two concurrent modes:

  1. With the display of a box with an orange border in the left section of the UI: this box, in addition to inviting the user to answer, will show other information relating to the caller, that is, telephone number, name if available, department and group to which they belong (if available);
  2. Through an operating system notification balloon with information about the calling number or contact (if present among the users or in the directory).

To answer the call, simply use the standard method provided by the device (e.g. lift the handset of a SIP / USB telephone, use the button of a USB headset, answer the mobile phone or DECT device normally) or, alternatively, click on the key with the green handset.

Note. The green handset button appears only with devices that manage auto-answer, such as Yealink phones (Polycoms do not manage this feature).

To reject a call, just click on the red handset in the box or use the command provided for the device (e.g. ignore call for V-IP6060 telephones).

To end a call in progress, use the standard method provided by the device (e.g. hang up the handset of a SIP / USB telephone, use the button of a USB headset, normally end the call on the mobile phone or DECT device). Alternatively, you can click on the button with the red handset.
