How Can We Help?

How to use the communication devices of the UI

The VOIspeed UI allows each user to use up to a maximum of 4 communication devices, including a mobile phone. For a device to be associated with a specific user, it must be set up to authenticate to the PBX with the user’s account (username and password); to associate a traditional mobile phone, it is sufficient for the PBX administrator to enter the telephone number in the user’s profile and activate it in the GUI.

The list of devices associated with the user is displayed at the top of the UI. The meaning of the symbols is as follows:

Telefono_Device SIP device (telephone / cordless IP or analog adapter)
Mobile_Device Mobile Phone
DECT_Device DECT device
MANAGEMENT OF DEVICES FOR OUTGOING CALLS

The user must specify the default device that will be used for outgoing calls.
To do this, click on the desired device from the list of available devices shown in the GUI.

MANAGEMENT OF DEVICES FOR INPUT CALLS

By default, all the devices associated with the user will ring at the same time when a call arrives except the mobile phone for which it is possible to enable / disable this function and diversify it according to the type of incoming call as shown in the side image (see the paragraph Setting Actions on Calls). As soon as the user answers with any of them, the others will stop ringing.

SWITCHING THE COMMUNICATION DEVICE DURING A CONVERSATION

During a conversation it is possible to switch the management of the call audio from one device to another among those available to the user.

To do this, you can press the toggle button gui toggle disp gui commuta disp within the current call box and select the desired device. Upon dialing, the PBX will send the call to this device which will ring accordingly; at that point it will be sufficient to answer and the call will be permanently passed on to the new device, while it will be interrupted in the old one.

During the transition phase, the audio will not be stopped and the interlocutor will not notice the change of peripheral.
