Phone call forwarding and interaction with the UI
Consider the scenario in which there are answer groups with the event setting When all users are busy -> send the call anyway; a user of the group removes the check mark from the option Reject call on busy (active by default) in his UI, because he wants to receive and see in the queue the calls on the direct extension of a colleague, even if he has other calls active and / or in queue.
Therefore, in the event that some users prefer to use the telephone instead of the UI for ordinary call handling, it will be necessary to check that the “Reject calls on busy” checkbox of its UI is active. This setting is already selected by default, so if you never have to install or launch the UI to change it, there will be no problem.
|In this scenario, if the user has an active call on the UI, they CANNOT make new calls from the phone, but ONLY using the UI. If you try to do so, for example by forwarding the active call via telephone, the UI warns you with a popup asking to refer to your installer for more information:
“The current configuration of your extension does not allow the handling of multiple calls directly from the phone but only from the UI. For more information, contact your installer”
